It has been a while since my last updates! Gosh!! It's now March 2011, and it's going to be a special month for my family, as we are going to have a new member pretty soon. I'll be off for two month from now on, just before that... I'm going to upload some photos of custom made orders I've done and delivered for the past few month.

And here's a set I've made for Sarah from Florida, US. A set of bridal necklace & earrings made with Swarovski pearls and crystals in cream, a colour to match her champagne colour wedding gown.

Something special... wedding customization

This hair pin and bracelet was made for Karen, whom is getting married in Germany. She wanted a hair pin with something blue, following English wedding tradition something old, something new, something borrowed and something blue. It's a totally new challenge to me when I got this special request, a hair pin for wedding!! Something I've not done before and have no idea how to start with. After few trial and error, I've finally succeed in making her a hair pin with Swarovski white pearls and complete with few Swarovski crystal bicones in light blue.

When Venn show me a photo of her wedding gown and ask me whether I can custom make a bellt and cuff similiar to Johanna Johnson's design, I told her it's possible provided she can get the rhinestones. So far I hardly see these type of rhinestones in Malaysia market. After searching around material shops in Klang Valley, we came to a conclusion to use pearls, crystal and seed beads instead of rhinestones.

Luck is on Venn's side, on her trip to Hong Kong, she actually found these rhinestones in various sizes and shape which is just perfect to make her vintage inspired accessories. The important mission was on me as how to assemble these rhinestones together to create a belt and cuff. Another challenging job as I'm not so good with sewing. Moreover, after deciding the design, I had to carefully sew the rhinestones onto a tulle, a fine netting which is easily breaks.

Here's the result.....after few weeks of hard work :))

I've also made a pair of matching earrings for her with the balance rhinestones.

After months for hiatus.....I'm finally back with updates of my latest creations!! Over last few months, I've been busy with bridal custom made orders for few friends and customer. That itself is tiring enough for me especially when I'm also expecting a new family member soon ^_^

Wire wrapped rose hair pin tutorial

Hola people!! This is the latest article I've submitted and featured in Nan Yang Siang Pau on 14 July 2010. In this tutorial, I used 22Gauge Artistic wire to form a shape of rosette and attach it onto a black small hair.

There is a lot more variation and possibility with the wire wrap rosette, it can be make into earrings, ring as well as pendant. Do also check out Wireblissmei's tutorials of rose earrings and rose ring.

This is a custom made piece I've made before my vacation. "Something cute and in pink", as specified by the young girl's mom. Therefore, cute pink polymer clay flower has been chosen to add cute accent to the pink Swarovski pearls. A five petal hot pink 3D flower as focal point aka pendant for the necklace.

Made a pair of matching earrings with soft pink polymer clay flower and cute strip acrylic beads.

Hello dearies, I'm back from my great beach escape to Pangkor Laut Resort. I was a great getaway from the hectic city center, with fresh air, beautiful scenery, top class hospitality, delicious foods and of course great company ^_^

I would highly recommend this place for a short getaway for people who lives in the city like me. It's definitely a relaxing experience that you would not wanna miss. For Malaysian, don't forget to call for local resident package deal ya.

I know this post was suppose to be up last week, but I kept delaying it... shouldn't have any excuse actually. So what was I'm up to for the past one week plus?? Ooo.....some custom made piece which kept me very busy. Went out for beads hunting twice in last week alone, till short of certain beads for the custom made piece and I need to shop for it in a different store again tomorrow.

Just had a great mom's birthday and Father's Day celebration a couple of hour ago, a family gathering at my parents place, which was full of laughter, as usual... and yummy home cook healthy foods prepared by my brother.

It's 20th June today and time for me to prepare my next month article for Nan Yang again. Time really flies and I just wish I have more time to explore new design and create more jewelry.......

Coming back to this month DIY jewelry article , I have incorperated rhinestone deco and simple pearl cluster making technique to produce a piece of USB flash drive necklace. The steps are pretty simple to follow and materials can be easily optain from any beads store in town. Hope this article inspire you and happy crafting :))

Got inspired to make this bracelet while browsing through a fashion magazine last weekend. When I look at my beads boxes, found some charms that suites the theme; it has been a while I didn't make use these Tibetian silver charm, good that I can make use of them now. The necklace was made with combination of Keishi organic coin pearls, fresh water pearls and swarovski pearls and Swarovski crystals, using fireline as beading thread. Pendant measured ~32cm long with Keishi coins and a cluster of swarovski pearls.

Bridal Jewelry Set 1

This is a custom made bridal jewelry set consist of necklace, bracelet and earrings, for a friend who is getting married next month. Made with white colour Swarovki's pearls in various size, Swarovski crystals in clear and Japanese Matsuno seed beads.

Sharing here is my story behind the making of this pearl bridal jewelry set..... It all started about more than a month ago, when a friend of mine ask me whether I'm able to make a set of bridal jewelry to match with her tube top bridal gown on her wedding day next month . Having 2 copies of her wedding photo with me, it took me 2 weeks to think of the design and 2 weeks to finally work out this sets. As this is the first time I try on bead weaving, I do not have any idea how to start it, so I took some times browsing through few books and magazines to get inspirations.

After getting the necessary beads and findings, I start experimenting how to construct a piece of pearl necklace, with "simple and elegant" concept in mind. After few round of trial and error deciding the beads combination, and ways to string the beads together; here's my finalised piece for the bride to be.

Through the making process, I made many mistake due to rushing, like short of 1 bead or 1 bead extra at the position where it was not suppose to be, and the most sickening part is only to find out the mistakes after completing the whole piece. You may not believe, I have re-strung the necklace nearly 10 times before this necklace was born... LOL......

From this experience, I came to a conclusion that bead weaving is a beading technique that require lots of patient, and rushing for completion is certainly a big no no. Anyway, after completing them, I finally see light from at the end of tunnel, to remake another similar piece will be pretty easy in future. However, I still love challenges, and I look forward to make the next piece in different design.

I'm back from Singapore trip last weekend. It was a fun and fulfilling family trip to Resort World and Universal Studio. Though many people said that it is too small compare to the one in US, but I find it very interesting and we had lot's of fun and new exposure too.

And of course I did not miss out the opportunity to beads shopping during my stay. I took half day off from the troupe to shop around Arab Street and Peoples Park Square. Found many interesting beads, charms and parts which are not available here in KL.
